INN: La Terre: Puritism now a religion

NEW PARIS, LA TERRE - Celebrations broke out in New Paris today after the La Terre senate voted in favor of recognizing Puritism as an official religion. Such a status makes the group exempt from taxes and gives them special priviledges within the small world.

A rather secretive organization, the Purists -- which have grown in number since the Birthright War -- refuse to disclose details about their religious practices. Rumors about ideals have often seeped out to the media, but none have been confirmed.

The festivities lasted a few hours and were attended even by the religion's main figure, High Absolver Robertson. Regarding this decision, he had few words to share: "Blessed are we who seek purity. We are thankful to the All-Source, and the La Terre government, for making it easier to carry out our great work."
