YNOS, SIVAD - Military officials have privately alleged that Odari participated actively in the opening of the Phyrrian war, but OATO investigative teams have still yet to determine what role the Odarite Merchant's Guild may have played.
Despite the heavy price the OMG has paid for its involvement, it today expressed a desire to reach out to afflicted worlds.
Today, the new Odarite Trade Minister Kz'ikzr released an official statement to the galactic press.
"Before she died, the last queen of our world left behind a clutch of eggs, among which were two queens. We are pleased to announce that both are healthy and growing, and the future of the Odarite people is assured. We deeply regret our role in the terrible events that caused the death of untold millions, and would like to fully commit ourselves to a renaissance of galactic peace and profit."
Political analysts remain skeptical about this statement, pointing out the shaky economic situation of the former merchant powerhouse.
University of Enaj economist David West suggested, "Odari can barely support itself right now, let alone anyone else- pretty words, but their money isn't where their mandibles are."
